Serve Children in Your Community
From donating school supplies to helping children in foster care, there are many ways to serve kids in your community. These resources will help you to get started.
● Contact public schools and encourage them to serve healthier meals for school lunches.
● Help children in foster care, even if you can’t become a foster parent.
● Donate food, school supplies, clothing, and books to help needy children during the back-to-school season.
Rescue Homeless Animals
Each year in the United States, millions of homeless dogs, cats, rabbits, and other companion animals enter shelters. Here’s how to give these homeless animals the love, care, and attention they so desperately deserve.
● Help shelter animals by volunteering at a local animal rescue, fostering a homeless pet, and supporting your favorite animal shelters through AmazonSmile.
● Reunite stray pets with their families by contacting your local animal control agency and sharing photos of the animal in your community and on social media.
There are so many different ways you could donate your time, skills, money, and energy to those in need, but it’s important to pursue something you’re passionate about — whether it’s homelessness, needy children, abandoned animals, or spiritual development. Whatever it is you choose, you’ll make a positive difference in the world around you.
